Guardians Protested Against Admission Fee Hike At School-Colleges
There is agitation among watchmen of understudies of different famous schools in the capital, as these schools are purportedly charging over the top educational cost expenses crosswise over classes this year.
Bothered watchmen have asserted that somewhere in the range of 40 Monthly Pay Order (MPO)- recorded schools out of around 400 instructive establishments in the capital are charging expenses with no former notification without appropriate rules in the confirmation approach.
With the administration having no power over educational cost expenses in the MPO-recorded schools where almost 30 lakh kids study, school powers are exploiting the circumstance and charging intemperate charges, according to their impulses and fancies, gatekeepers asserted.
They asserted that while educational cost charges expand each year, this year, it's twofold the sum with no former notification from school powers, placing watchmen in a tight spot, monetarily. They said regardless of over and again conveying the matter to the notification of school powers, nothing has been done about it.
Despite what might be expected, it is the schools which say that they are charging only a smidgen higher expenses to meet different costs of these establishments. Left with no other choice, gatekeepers have now chosen to organize distinctive projects before various schools in the capital on January 17, 2016 (Sunday) to request withdrawal of over the top charges.
It is learnt that Willes Little Flower School and College has practically multiplied educational cost expenses for Class I to Class IX. Prior month to month charge for Class I was Tk. 1,300 which has been raised to Tk. 2,100. Additionally, the month to month charge for Class VI is dependent upon Tk. 2,550 from the past Tk. 1,550 and that for Class IX has been expanded from Tk. 1,550 to Tk. 2,650.
Viqarunnisa Noon School and College has expanded month to month expense for Class I from Tk. 800 to Tk. 1,500; month to month expense for Class II to Class VI from Tk. 800 to Tk. 1,600; and month to month charge for Class VII to Class X from Tk. 900 to Tk. 2,200. The affirmation charge for Class I in Khilgaon National Ideal School has been altered at Tk. 18,660 while the month to month expense for Class I to Class IX has been raised to Tk. 100 to Tk. 2,200 from a year ago's Tk. 500 to Tk. 1,200.
Month to month expense for Class I to Class IX of Udayan Higher Secondary School Dhaka have been raised to Tk. 800 to Tk. 1,200 from a year ago's Tk. 400 to Tk. 900. Additionally, different schools in the capital including Mohammadpur Preparatory Higher Secondary School, Shaheed Police Smriti School, Bangladesh Bank Adarsha Uchcha Biddalaya and Gendaria High School are charging 50 to 100 for every penny higher expenses.
The heads of organizations said that the charges of understudies have been expanded to accommodate the extra compensation of instructors. "The charges have been expanded to give the extra pay of educators to confront the new pay scale. There is no other way. We have just expanded 49.67 percent general expenses as a result of the developing expense. Still, we have a deficiency of 10 percent of it", said Acting Principal of Willes Little Flower School and College, Abul Hossain.
