Post-graduate Students Will Get Scholarship From PM Fund
The administration is changing a law to offer grant to post-graduate understudies from the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust Fund.
The Cabinet affirmed a proposition to change the Prime Minister's Education Trust Act in a meeting hung on March 21, 2016 (Monday) at the Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheik Hasina in the seat.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told correspondents that the present law had procurement to recompense grant just up to graduate understudies.
"The law needs procurement for offering grant to post-graduate understudies. Master's, MPhil and PhD understudies can be given grant from the asset (after the alteration is gone by Parliament)", he said.
The secretary said the altered law would give the legislature the power to detail strategy rules. The administration can define just standards under the current rendition of the law.
